I just bought this book, and I’m really excited about it but also kind of terrified. I have still not been able to figure out how to make Sheldon. I’ve knit bags, scarves, hats, even iPod cozies. But I took one look at the directions for Sheldon and felt like I was trying to read a foreign language. I could not get my mind around it.
How cool is he? I just got my Sheldon Turtle & Costumes Kit from Knit Picks the other day with everything I need to make Original, Beach Bum, Pirate, Police Officer, Superhero, and Cowboy Sheldon. This is yet another knitting project to add to my pile, but I love him. I have no idea who to make him for, though. Maybe I’ll just make him for my desk.
I think these Toadstool Baby Rattles from one of my favorite craft blogs, The Purl Bee, are brilliant. Very Alice in Wonderland, and I’m adding them to my list of baby present ideas. Still holiday planning!
Last Saturday I had a crochet lesson at Wooly Monmouth in Red Bank, NJ. I started a new scarf during the lesson to practice my newfound crochet knowledge, but before I could really dive into yet another scarf I had some unfinished business at home.
