If you have not done goat yoga…go do goat yoga. I never posted photos from this, but Meredith asked months ago if anyone wanted to go with her to Mad Lavender Farm for some yoga, but with goats. which is a trend sweeping the nation if you didn’t already know (true fact). And, YES. I wanted to go.
This past Friday I had the first of my two knee surgeries, starting with my right knee. I tried roller derby a few years ago, in summer of 2013. I watched for a couple of practices and then tied on some borrowed skates and gave it a try. Gravity was not my friend, and all I did was fall down for about half a practice, banging my knees hard every time. I am not a good faller, there was no landing on my butt as directed. I am not coordinated enough to aim my falls.
My newest piece for GeekMom went up yesterday, it’s called “Why Hiring Jenny McCarthy for The View Is Irresponsible.” Check it out, I’m pretty proud of it.
So I’ve been trying to think of something good to post all afternoon, but the truth is I feel like poop. The weather here in NJ has been atrocious for two days, and on top of that I got my flu shot yesterday after school. I can’t remember getting one before, but my arm STILL hurts from the shot. Like, can’t lift it very high painful, not just sore. And it keeps getting bumped by people today, which has led to crankiness.
Here’s a downside to working with little kids in kid-designed spaces: I walk into furniture and trip over furniture all the time. Just today I bruised my thigh walking into a cafeteria table at kid height.
