Another great thing to come out of Adam’s 24 in 24 marathon is that I finished crocheting this fall scarf while he played away. Two months later and it’s done. I started this over the summer from a project in Stitch ‘n Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker.
I haven’t knit or crocheted anything in more than a year! A few weeks ago I was itching for a new yarn project, the stash in my closet was making me feel rather guilty. So I decided to make a new scarf for fall after seeing the preppy Stripes (and Stripes) Forever Scarf by Chelsea Fowler-Biondolillo featured in Stitch ‘n Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller. The book crochets the scarf in great grass green and hot pinks, but I decided to do a mix of browns and creams for mine so it would go with everything.
A few weeks ago, I bought this irresistible mobile pattern from Amy Gaines‘s Etsy shop. At the time, I was wrestling with my first crocheted scarf and thought this mobile would be light years away from getting made.
I’m still working on my crocheted scarf. I watched some YouTube videos and actually thought I was getting the hang of it. I wasn’t decreasing all the time, things were going smoothly. Then I started adding in other colors and the decreasing began again. So now I have to go back and analyze some more, I thought I had the hang of it but I was wrong. Someday!
