So May was…eventful. We went to Mexico for a family vacation and celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary there. And while we were on the plane, I got a job offer. That I’ve accepted….
So Kathy co-wrote Commissary Kitchen: My Infamous Prison Cookbook with Prodigy from Mobb Deep. The book’s release was this past Tuesday, the 11th, and they had a book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square. I am so stinking proud of that lady, she is just the best.
If you pick up the October issue of Inside Jersey, I have a feature on hippotherapy inside. Hippotherapy is the use of horses as a therapeutic tool for speech, PT, and OT. I pitched the idea several months back because H goes to one of the clinics I interviewed. She originally went for PT, now she goes for OT. And it’s been hugely beneficial for her, and motivating. She loves the horses she rides, and we’ve seen some great progress.
So here’s the thing about November and December: they were kind of the worst.
H spent 2 nights in the hospital the week before Christmas having some tests done. Everything came out clear, but we were still camped out in a hospital room with our little girl. And we may have more tests ahead of us. Nothing life threatening, but still awful. That photo above was when we first checked in, before she was all hooked up to wires.
