Tomorrow is the next meeting of the NYC Mod Quilt Guild, and our challenge this month was 2 striped blocks, one 10.5″ squared and one 5.5″ by 10.5″. This is what I made:
I’m kind of in love with the square block. I just threw some stripes from my stash together and cut it out on the diagonal. And it looks very cool. For the rectangular block I did kind of a string block take on stripes, cutting 1″ strips of stash fabric and sewing it together until I got the right dimensions.
Hooray for actually finishing a guild challenge!
