Yay! In the September/October of Generation Q I have a new quilt I designed called “This Goose Is a Bit Rich.” I love this one. It took me a while to make, and my wonderful friend Rachael Dorr did the quilting. She’s incredible.
The black mustaches were in my stash from JoAnn. The tan and orange prints are from Denyse Schmidt’s JoAnn lines. Tan is from Farm Stand, I’m not sure which line the orange is from. And the pale blue and goldenrod fabrics are both from Sweetwater’s Noteworthy collection. I also used Kona Snow. Everything except the Denyse Schmidt prints were already in my stash.
The quilting! It’s the most gorgeous quilting I’ve ever had on anything I’ve made.
And I used pretty much all of my scraps on the backing.
I am so excited to finally be starting my attempt at the “this goose is a bit rich” pattern that I have been saving from the GenQ magazine. I love flying geese and especially love what you your design has them doing! Just wanted to say thank you for publishing this pattern and I look forward to following your blog. Thanks, Ann
That is so cool, thank you for commenting, Ann! I’d love to see a finished photo of your project when it’s finished. If you’re on Instagram, you can tag me at @orangeroomquilts. Or just let me know here!!
