For Christmas this year, Adam gave me a weekend away in Charleston, completely on my own. I was set to head out the Friday after New Year’s, January 5th, except I still had the flu…and then a snowstorm hit the east coast and closet Charleston down for a few days. So, instead, I flew down on January 26 and stayed two nights, and had the most amazing time wandering around by myself.

I turned 39 last Saturday! It’s been a week since then, and more than two weeks since I’ve blogged, and it’s been busy and eventful and so much has been going on. So I desperately need to catch up here.

It wasn’t a terrible month for reading, or a bad to start to a new year of books.
We’re still in this phase of life where we read and reread H’s favorite books on a loop, so even with our trips to the library, we don’t read that many new books. She could have Winnie-the-Pooh read to her every night and be completely happy, and…honestly we’re also pretty happy. Adam loves reading Pooh to her. But we did read some new stuff this month.
