I’ve never tackled a king size quilt before, but we’re doing some redecorating in our bedroom. And I really want to make one to help brighten it up.
I’ve sketched out a bunch of options, but the gradient of half square triangles above is the winner. I may tweak the overall number of rows for each color, but that’s what I’m going with.

I’ve got all the Kona solids ordered for this, and I’ve started cutting out squares to piece this all together. The half square triangles will be 10″ finished, and this quilt will be 100″ x 110″ when all is said and done. It’s a job, but I can’t wait until it’s finished!
