Other posts on this project: New Quilt.
I started this as a secret project back in February, but it’s going to be a tutorial here on my site once I’m finished with it. This whole quilt top came together really quickly, with simple squares in 3 sizes: 3.5″, 6.5″, and 12.5″.
I love this color palette. It was fun to work with, and I haven’t done a color scheme like this.
These are really simple blocks that work out to 24.5″ square unfinished. So, 12 nice big squares and this quilt is done.
This was also some great stashbusting. There are a lot of fabrics in this top.

Lots of great prints here that I’ve been dying to use.
I have to piece the backing for this one, which will use most of the remaining scraps of fabric from this top. I love using what I’ve got on hand. Then I’m going to use it to experiment with some quilting, and put a tutorial together for it. This will look great on our couch when it’s finished!
I love this quilt top! The mixture of variously sized square really works.
