I loved last weekend. I only left the house to go get some lunch with Adam and H on Saturday. The rest of the weekend was spent inside being a glorious homebody.

It started snowing heavily while we were out on Saturday. When we got home, H immediately wanted to run around in the snow. Adam pulled her in the sled and ran all over the yard with her.

I stayed out for a little while, but since I was only wearing Chucks I decided to let them have some daddy/daughter time while I made hot chocolate for everyone. With marshmallows!

I spent a lot of time working on Maggie’s wedding quilt. I got these blocks sewn, I just have to square them up and put the top together.

On Sunday I made lemon scones.

That tea towel was one of my Christmas presents from Adam. I <3 Fishs Eddy.

I also made a big batch of this beef shank ragu that we love. I hadn’t made any yet this winter.

I even started cutting out the Stof print dress for H.

The days are slowly getting longer, and I know that spring will get here sooner or later. Everything is icy, and I’m sure there’s more snow coming, but this was a great winter weekend. The perfect kind of weekend where you stay inside and enjoy your house, and the smells of delicious things cooking, and just make things. Heaven.
