It’s the first day of fall! So obviously my brain is starting to focus on the upcoming holiday season.
During the summer I went to The Big Toy Book’s Sweet Suite event in Manhattan, which is an annual party to connect bloggers (basically “mommy bloggers”) with companies and their products. This year it was part of a series of events called Blogger Bash, but I only attended Sweet Suite.
I went as press for GeekMom, since we’re working on our holiday gift guides. And there will be a lot of cool stuff for the holidays this year, ya’ll.
Like the robots from WowWee toys, including Tipster for little ‘uns (pictured above). I’m also really impressed with MiP; I’m currently reviewing it, and it’s just the coolest.
Also, DC has come to Duplo! Look at that adorable little Batman in his batmobile! And a happy little Joker. At least one of the sets has Catwoman, but she was too busy to come to this show.
Some of the new lineup of characters for Disney Infinity. More and more I am tempted by this game.
Maybe not as tempted as I was by these Skylanders: Trap Team cupcakes.
I liked the VTech InnoTab Max, but I want to get my hands on one to really try it out. Same with the VTech SmartWatch.
Lemonheads sponsored a martini bar. A lemonhead martini is surprisingly delicious.
TOMY’s Battroborg has been updated for this year’s toy season. I liked last year’s model, so I’m curious about the upgrade.
Tiggly Shapes are a neat little set of shapes to use with tablet apps. They’re specifically for the toddler crowd.
Vita had a chocolate tasting station out with a few of their healthier, 72% cacao dark chocolate bars. So delicious.
So much good stuff. This is the official start of my thoughts towards December. Three months four days till Christmas.
I think it’s funny that all Batman figures for young ‘uns smile but all Batman figures for adults scowl. (“Why so serious,” indeed!)
