We’ll be spending some time in the UK this summer introducing H to the family and going to my brother-in-law’s wedding. It will be a ton of family and friend visiting time and a whole lot of driving, but we’re hoping to squeeze some sightseeing in there, too. So I have a wishlist of stuff to do and see. We’ll be crisscrossing the country, from London to Manchester to Sheffield to Bristol and Bath, then back to London. So, there’s a lot I want to do this visit!
- See Stonehenge.
- Finally visit a Boden store.
- Go for tea somewhere (I’ve never been to tea in England).
- Visit the Jane Austen Museum in Bath.
- Visit the Manchester Costume Gallery.
- Find some British fabric stores.
- Go to Liberty of London.
- Explore Manchester’s city centre, especially the Northern Quarter. I’ve read it has some funky shops.
- Soak in the local color.
- Learn how to drive roundabouts without getting us all killed.
- Start learning my way around London, which I am currently hopeless at.
- Get some Olympic gear.
- See a castle, or at the very least a stately home.
