So October has come and gone, and I’m now 21.5 weeks pregnant. Other than being tired all the time, I feel fantastic. And October was a great month, even though it felt like we were in the middle of a heatwave for the first half of it. And then, randomly, it snowed last weekend.
I have a short list of names for our little girl, Adam’s still working on his. I haven’t even started thinking about her room yet, we’ve got to get through the holidays first. Lots of visitors this month, and my baby shower is less than 2 weeks away.
It’s funny, these self portraits started out as a way for me to keep track of my work outfits when I started this current job. I like to wear something different every day each month, and I use to write what I wore down on a dry erase board in my closet (I know, I know). Then I had the idea to start taking these pictures when I fell in love with my first day of school dress. Now they’ve evolved into this catalog of my life, especially now that I’m pregnant and my body does new and strange things each month. It’s very surreal to me to think that someday my daughter will be able to look at these and know what her mommy looked like before she was born. I used to love seeing pictures of my parents back in the day, and without meaning to I’ve sort of kept this visual journal of life before and after. Maybe I’m just in a sappy mood today, but it’s very cool to me.
