A couple of weekends ago Adam and I went to Eastmont Orchards for some pumpkins and apples. It’s only about 10 or 15 minutes from our house, and it was a beautiful day to go.

It was actually unseasonably warm for October that day. Like, 80 degrees warm. But we got pumpkins for the porch and LOTS of apples for my first attempts at canning. Next Sunday Meredith is coming over so we can use up all those apples, and later this week I’ll carve some of the pumpkins. No idea what I’m going to carve yet, though. I still need to finish my porch decorations before I post photos.
