These are some of the front-runners I’ve found while searching high and low for great wallpaper to jumpstart plans for our nursery. It’s a little easier to narrow down choices now that we know what we’re having, but we’re also steering away from trad, gender-specific possibilities. We really want something a little funkier, a little more us.

I kind of think this Hold Tight wallpaper from British brand Mini Moderns is the absolute front-runner right now. It’s from a project in conjunction with the London Transport Museum, those are old bus tickets in the design. I actually found this brand on Twitter after Michelle Benckso, the designer for Cloud 9 Fabrics, posted a mention of the company. Now I am smitten.

How sweet are these pink robots from Aimee Wilder? To me, this is the ultimate way to mix girly with unexpected, and given that this little girl will be surrounded by tech-happy men this could be perfect.

I also love the idea of this Frames wallpaper that Land of Nod sells. I like the idea that it can become personalized and change over the years as different bits get colored in.
