Other posts on this project: Lily & Will Quilt Pt. 1.
I have so much to share about BookExpo America, which I attended yesterday and today. But I need time to sort through my photos, my books, my experience. In the meantime, let’s talk about how this quilt is coming.
So after I cut out the triangles (using a layer cake for the prints and some solid ivory yardage):
I sewed the blocks together. Then I pieced together the quilt top:
I finished the quilt top (which I did not take any photos of yet), made a funky pieced back (my first, more on that later), and quilted it:
I just stitched in the ditch at the corners where each block meets, like a tie quilt.
I’ve made the binding already, so I just need to attach that, wash it, and then really photograph the whole thing. I’d wanted to do photos of the top and back, but it’s been raining for so long that the lighting was just terrible. I didn’t bother.
