All the first grade classes finished Clementine the week we came back from winter break, and they LOVED it. They always love it, I haven’t been able to keep any Clementine books on the shelves since we started reading it.

We did a few activities along the way. We shared our “worst week” stories, we drew pictures of our favorite scenes from the book, and after we finished we brainstormed some new adventures for Clementine to have. Then we illustrated them. This week those go up in the Library Gallery.

Classes sent Clementine to karate class and to an amusement park, but my favorite was “Clementine Has a Snow Day.” In this one she and Margaret still have no hair and have to wear hats.

Clementine also hung out with snowmen and went skiing. I love little kid imaginations!
