Last night was the October meeting of the Philly Modern Quilt Guild. It was a long night, I spend about 3 hours in the car every time I go to a meeting. But, I love these girls. So I wouldn’t miss it (unless I absolutely have to).
And it was worth the drive. Our challenge this month was to make 2 treat bags from this Itty Bitty Poochie Bag tutorial on Moda Bake Shop. They were for a blind swap and were so much fun I might make more for our holiday party favors. They really are tiny, here are are mine (forgive the lighting, I shot these in my lime green laundry room: no color editing can help them):
Candi organized this swap, and she’s organizing our challenge for December: Kona solids. I’ve got to add that to my To Sew pile.
We also got a sneak peek of Julie’s fabulous new pattern line, I’ve preordered everything. So crazy proud of that girl.
I had made some cupcakes on Sunday night to celebrate Adam’s 24 in 24 victory, and I’d saved half of them to bring to the meeting. When they left the house they looked like this:
They made it all the way to PA, but then I carried them across a parking lot. When they arrived at the meeting, they looked like this:
No one ate any of them! There were a lot of treats there, and I was 10 minutes late, but now I’m getting a complex.
