I know it’s the middle of August, but I just got my July bee blocks in the mail yesterday. My 1/4″ foot broke on my sewing machine, and I was lost until I got a new one. So, better late than never. This is Colette’s block for Not Your Grandma’s Quilting Bee.
This was my block, and I’m not in love with it. I started making another one when my foot died, and I tried to finish it by guesstimating the seams with another foot. It was a hot mess. That strip in the middle was the only thing I could save, and I didn’t think I had enough blue background fabric to start from scratch. Plus I wanted to get it out the door as soon as possible.
This was the first time I made flying geese, and I was excited to learn something new. I need a lot more practice with these, though.
