Things That Are Making Me Feel Crazy This Week:
- I’m a member of 3 virtual quilting bees, and almost all of the members have sent back their May blocks already. The fabrics all came in April, and I haven’t even started mine. Now I’ve signed up for the Modern Siggy Swap Round #2, which will involve making 100 quilt blocks by July 1st. Plus I volunteered to help write something for the Philly Modern Quilt Guild, due June 7th.
- I’m furiously cataloging the summer reading books at work so they’ll be ready for distribution in early June. Plus the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have been testing all week, so they’re a little off the wall. Can’t say I blame them.
- Our 3rd wedding anniversary is next Wednesday, and I’m still finalizing Adam’s gift.
- We’re throwing a brunch on Sunday for the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix, so I’ve been setting up the table for our spread, making menus, planning my time frame for getting everything done. This is actually a really nerdy task that I love, so it’s not a bad thing. Just time consuming.
- After cleaning the house for Mother’s Day on Sunday it somehow managed to get messy again and needs more straightening for the party this Sunday.
I will get everything done, I always do. And it’s all good stuff that’s giving me a sense of accomplishment. Plus most of it is fun (I actually think processing books in the library is kind of fun, but I guess that’s why I’m the librarian). But once in a while I wonder if I’m crazy for doing so many things at one time.
