Last night I posted about the serious accident of Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, but I didn’t get a chance to post about the more positive aspects of the day.
Before Qualifying, we spent the morning wandering through Castle Hill in the old town of Buda. I learned that the vertical train we took our first day is called a funicular train. It’s gorgeous in this section of town.
Matyas Templom (Matthias Church) is an old church with one of the most amazing roofs I’ve ever seen. It was covered in scaffolding as part of its current conservation efforts.
Inside the church. It’s covered in these frescoes, all the pillars, walls, and architecture.
Lovely musicians playing under a gazebo.
This adorable couple on the right danced on these steps while street musicians played. One of the happiest things I saw this day, so I tipped the musicians nicely. These are steps leading away from Fisherman’s Bastion.
