Today was the day, the Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix. And it was some race. Fernando Alonso, the pole-sitter, went out of the race early on when one of his tires flew off his car. So LEWIS HAMILTON took the lead; last year’s world champion hasn’t won a single race all year. And today he won his first of the season. And we were there, it was incredible.

Last night I posted about the serious accident of Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, but I didn’t get a chance to post about the more positive aspects of the day.
Before Qualifying, we spent the morning wandering through Castle Hill in the old town of Buda. I learned that the vertical train we took our first day is called a funicular train. It’s gorgeous in this section of town.
