Finally! I’ve finally been able to stop racing around in a stressed out streak of polka dots and curly hair long enough to begin a new project. After making Annie’s bunting I’d decided it was so easy and cool that I would make some for any festivities we held in the future. So here it is, 6 days away from our School’s Out for Summer party. And I started the bunting today, matching the navy and aqua color scheme of my planned dessert table.
It took about half an hour to trace and cut out the pieces. All the fabric was in my stash, mostly fat quarters. I’m discovering that I have lots of awkward fat quarters that came in bundles with other prints I liked. This bunting is proving itself to be an excellent stashbuster. I may even sew this up and call it a day this afternoon. Best way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Again, the bunting pattern and idea came from The Purl Bee, one of my favorite sources for crafty inspiration.
