I arrived in London this morning, and I’ve been a bit of a mess all day. We hit the ground running, leaving me just time to shower before heading out for the day with Cora and Ian, my mother- and stepfather-in-law. I was like a zombie a lot of the day, but we had a really great time. I managed to snap a few pictures in my jetlagged haze.
Lunch at the oldest chip shop in the city, The Rock & Sole Plaice.
Shopping at the delicious Neal’s Yard Dairy.
The original (and famous) Neal’s Yard Remedies. I recognized the logo, I’ve seen their products available at other stores. But here’s the original shop, just below the spot where Monty Python lived for several years (there’s a blue plaque up and everything).
The National Gallery, where we went to see a special Picasso exhibit. Then we ended the night with dinner at Mela, a delicious Indian restaurant.
Now I’m just trying to get my body to recover for tomorrow’s big day, my father-in-law’s 60th birthday.
