Four more weeks of school! I have so many things that are exciting me lately.
With the success of the Paint the Town Pink bunting I made for Annie, I’m itching to plan another party and do a full-on color scheme. Plus I’m completely obsessed with Amy Atlas’s dessert tables after seeingĀ and hearing aboutĀ them in magazines and on blogs lately. I want to try to make a dessert table myself for our next shindig. I’ve already decided whatever our next party (sometime this summer) it will have a navy and aqua color scheme. I fall in love with way more color schemes than I have rooms to decorate, so I’m unleashing some of that on parties from now on.
I really, really, really want to do one of these Watson Adventures scavenger hunts with friends this summer. I’m thinking of trying to get a team together for the Murder at the MET challenge.
I heard about Sunday Suppers from Holly Becker’s decor8 blog, which I love. Adam and I are going to sign up for one, we’re just waiting to see what dates/menus work for us. I think the idea of a cooking class followed by a communal meal is brilliant. I can’t wait to meet some new people and learn to cook something new.
The upstairs bathroom is painted, the decals are up, and the linens and sinktop accessories have been procured. Adam’s working on changing out the horrible original light fixture with a much more modern one. And we’ve ordered hooks, towel rings, and toilet paper holders in a great design, but unfortunately they’re backordered for 3-5 weeks. So the room won’t be completely finished until then. I also need to pick out new drawer pulls for the vanity.
Now I’m thinking hard about our half bathroom downstairs. We actually like the fixtures in that room; the vanity is dark brown and the lights aren’t hideous. I’m thinking about a pink and brown color scheme in there. Adam likes the idea of dark purple. We’re working it out.
