So I completely forgot to mention that I got a bag of goodies last week from Bee Square Fabrics for participating in the Dr. Seuss Quilt Competition. This assortment of fabric pieces came as a consolation prize, and I love it. I’m already trying to think of what to use the fabrics for, and there are some projects on my list that might make great use of these. So I’m thrilled that my first foray into the world of quilting competition was so much fun, and I placed third!
I’m also happy to say I made some decisions for the treats I won from Whimsy & Spice. I went with the Chocolate Butterscotch bars, the Earl Grey Sandwich Cookies, and the Brown Sugar Gingerspice shortbread cookies. So now I have those to look forward to.
And I follow Spoonflower’s Fabric of the Week competitions, where they highlight a set of fabrics each week designed by those in the Spoonflower community. The winner gets a run of their fabric printed and sold in Spoonflower’s Etsy store for 1 week. I vote most weeks, and I often covet the winning fabrics. But this week I could resist no longer, I absolutely had to have this one. Had. To. Craft Pudding’s Birdie Friends fabric is just so fantastic that I splurged and bought 2 yards. It’s right up my alley, and again I’m thinking of ways to use this in upcoming projects.
