Remember this picture of my flowerbeds from way back over Memorial Day Weekend, when I first pulled out all the weeds and planted some wildflower seeds?
Below you will find a picture of what the flowerbeds looked like this Labor Day weekend, which contributed to the overall awesomeness of my last three days.
I can’t say we did anything particularly earth-shattering. Went to the dentist, big fun (and no cavities for me or Adam). Hung out with my mom on Saturday and had people over to grill today (not to grill the people themselves, to be clear). A day in the sun with friends and food is always spectacular. And everything in between was just wonderfully relaxed, chilled out, and surprisingly productive. We had a pile of mail and papers to be filed climbing up the walls in our library, and I got all of it sorted and put away. The shredder put in serious overtime. I’m almost finished with The Subtle Knife, book #2 of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials. I bought supplies for a few projects around the house I’ve been meaning to get to forever. I actually started one of them. And I’m just busy gearing up for this new job and getting excited.
And to top it all off, I actually managed to grow some stuff this summer. I’m officially ready for fall.
