So of course with my long list of To Dos for this Thanksgiving weekend I didn’t finish nearly as much as I’d hoped. But I did make Christmas stockings for Adam and me, so that was a big one finished.
We had these knit stockings we’d bought at Old Navy a few years back, but I was so excited about the holiday fabrics I’d bought that I wanted to make my own patchwork stockings. I very loosely followed McCall’s pattern# M5778: really I just used the template for stocking D. I didn’t make a cuffs for them, and I made mine patchwork. I just needed a good stocking shape to work with, and I think they turned out really well.
They are all hung on the fireplace, the first official decorations to go up. Here’s my Christmas Stocking How To.
