Let me start this post by saying that I already know I’m the worst quilting bee member in history. I knew this when I set out yesterday, during a snow day, to catch up on the pile of blocks I owe people going back to October. But this is what cemented the title for me:
My finished beach house block for Chelsea in the Pretty in Pink bee.
My finished Drunk Love-inspired block for Elizabeth in Bee Improvisational.
Anyone have a guess as to what’s wrong? It wasn’t immediately obvious to me, either, so don’t feel bad.
I switched the fabrics.
Chelsea got a block with Elizabeth’s fabrics, and Elizabeth got a block with Chelsea’s fabrics. I don’t know what I was thinking, I was looking at everyone else’s blocks on Flickr and STILL didn’t catch on until I was finished. I might be losing my mind. So then I had to take apart blocks, scramble to see what fabric was left, and do them over from scratch.
So here are the REAL blocks I’m mailing to these (hopefully) very patient ladies.
Chelsea’s beach house for the Pretty in Pink bee.
Two blocks for Elizabeth’s Drunk Love-inspired month in Bee Improvisational.
And that was how I spent my snow day.
