Starting this Saturday I’m taking an intro to sewing class at Purl in SoHo. I can’t wait, I know the basics but only from tinkering. I have much to learn. I’ve got my fabrics all prepped for the tote bags we’ll be making as our cumulative project. So the next 3 Saturdays, I am a sewing fiend!

This Michael Miller fabric is for the outside of the tote. This was actually the only heavyweight cotton fabric available at City Quilter when I was there, but I kind of like it. We’ll have to see if I like a whole bag made out of it, but this class is just for practice.
